This frigate (river-class) was built in 1942 by Smith's Dock Co. Ltd. in Southbank-on-Tees.

In 1946 this vessel was broken up at Troon UK.

In 1942-1946 she was an RN ship loaned to the Royal Canadian Navy during the Second World War and returned to the RN.
