This minesweeper, bangor-class (1941/2 program) was built in 1942 by Davie Shipbuilding Co. Ltd., Lauzon PQ.
In 1942-1945 she was in Royal Canadian Navy service.
In 1946-1951 she was kept in strategic reserve.
In 1951-1958 she was reacquired but not recommissioned.
She was transferred to the Turkish Navy as the Buyukdere.
