Historical Notes
In 1986 this vessel completed a submerged polar transit of the Northwest Passage under the command of Commander Johnson USN. This vessel surfaced at the North Pole with the USS Archerfish and the USS Hawkbill.

In 1967-1985 she was owned by the United States Navy.
