Histoire
This patrol vessel was built in 1925 by Lake Union Drydock & Machine Works in Seattle, WA.
Notes historiques
George Schneider (October 2026) Writes: The history of this vessel is somehow confused with the YP-16 (ex CG 267) which was lost in the Pacific in WWII. The source of the confusion could possibly be that the Navy got the wrong Coast Guard number recorded for the two vessels. MELDORA J III was involved in a pollution incident in 1990, and after that was removed from documentation records.
