故事
This buoy & lighthouse tender was built in 1940 by Moore Dry Dock Co. in Oakland, CA.
历史记录
Several efforts to preserve her as a museum all fell short of expectations.
In 2015-2019 she had cheap mooring in Little Potato Slough in the San Francisco Bay Area near Stockton CA, but when vessels there began to sink from neglect and were costly to the City to remove, Stockton legally evicted Fir and the remaining vessels. After being put under flag of convenience as Vladimir (Sao Tome) and Fir 212 (Mongolia) she was sold for scrap and was beached at Alang, India on 9 April 2026.
