Story
This tug was built in 1919 by Mare Island Naval Shipyard.
Historical Notes
George Schneider (May 2026) Writes: She was redesignated as an ambulance boat before completion. No documents have been found that link YH-1 to the merchant history shown here, but she's the only one of her class that was otherwise unreported at the time of her sale. A short time after 1981 she was reported sold to "A Mexican Construction Company" and left Los Angeles with her new owners. It is believed she sank enroute.
