In 1940 she was owned by Foundation Maritime Ltd., Halifax NS Canada.
In 1941-1943 she was chartered by the Royal Canadian Navy for service.
In 1943 she was owned by The Commissioners for Public Utilities for the Government of Newfoundland, St. John's Newfoundland.
