This barge, tank was built in 1968 by Dravo Corp. in Pittsburgh, PA.

George Schneider (Email to Nauticapedia 03/06/2025) stated "I got my first really clear shot of the crane barge DB POINT LOMA (517795). I'm having trouble tracing her complete history.
She was originally a 195 x 50 Dravo tank barge, but I can't come up with her original name or hull number. The only previous name I know for her is KRISTIN J, in the 1990s. She's now registered at 153 x 66, so there's a lot to learn about her."

In 1968-2025 she was owned by USA interests.
