物語

This freighter was built in 1938 by Leary, H. Melbourne and John A. Weigart in Dayspring, NS.

歴史的注記

On June 16, 1953 this vessel went ashore at Bear Point, Johnstone Strait BC Canada. This vessel was salvaged and beached at Elk Bay for repairs. Alan Haig-Brown (British Columbia Nautical History Facebook Group 27/09/2015) recalls that "I worked on her for a bit in 1964. This vessel had a nice big Cat engine in a huge engine room. The auxiliary was in the fore-peak which was massively timbered to withstand the ice pressure when this vessel was frozen in. This vessel had H B Co in brass on the wheel." On December 19, 1976 this vessel sank at Corinto, Nicaragua.
