In 1978 the Taiwan Phoenix (Singapore Register) and the Star K (greek Register) collided in dense fog in the Pacific Ocean, 1000 miles south of Kodiak Alaska. This vessel was towed in stern-first by a Foss tug. Her bow was repaired at the Esquimalt Graving Dock by Yarrows Ltd. I
