Historical Notes
George Schneider (2021) stated "I saw the last of the three ex-APL ships that has not received the scrubber-stack modification, MOKIHANA (655397). These ships would have been gone by now had it not been for a last-minute change of heart by APL to complete them as diesel ships. They'd been designed around steam plants, and engineers report many troublesome oddities because of that sudden change of plans. (2026): She was sold for scrap in 2025, put under an interim name and flag, and delivered to the Shiv Corp. Scrapyard in Alang, India, where her destruction began on 1 March 2026.
