Notes historiques
The Heritagegateway.org.uk stated "Lend-Lease - The 'lease-lend' terms under most of these were transferred meant that 'the owner supplied the ship, but the charterer [supplied and equipped] the vessel with all fuel, chandlery, hardware . . . and other expendable supplies. When the ship [was] returned to the owner, a reverse adjustment [was] made for fuel and supplies which remain[ed] on board." On February 1, 1946 this vessel was sunk in collision with the s/s Thornaby at 51.53N 01.32E (off the Thames Estuary, foundered approximately 2.3 miles east of Rough's Tower, between the East and West Fort Massac buoys) while on a voyage Middlesbrough - Table Bay South Africa.
