This dredge was built in 1961 by Burrard Drydock Co. Ltd. in North Vancouver, BC.

In 1961 built at a cost of $3.5 million. Her Canadian register closed on 1998-09-09 when this vessel was retired by the Canadian Government. This vessel is variously reported broken up by some sources but is apparently still working in the Straits of Malacca off the Malaysian coast - Malaysian flagged.
Propietarios y capitanes
In 1961-1998 she was owned by The Minister of Public Works, Ottawa ON as a Suction/Hopper Dredger. (Canadian Register closed 1998-09-09).
In 2015-2024 she was still afloat off the coast of Malaysia managed by Viatech Engineering Ltd.
