He came to BC from London UK in 1888.
In 1905 he was appointed as a Game and Forest Warden.
He was appointed as the Game Commissioner fr British Columbia.
He developed the first Game and Hunting Regulations for BC.
He wrote books and articles on hunting and management of game.
