After his naval service he worked as the Executive Assistant to ADM Geological Survey of Canada 1975-89. (He retired again 1989.)

He served in HMCS Magnificent.
He was appointed as a Lieutenant RCN (With seniority dated 18/07/1950).
He served in HMCS Nootka 1950.
He served in HMCS Cornwallis for Communications Qualifying Course 1953.
He served in HMCS Naden as Additional as Flag Lieutenant 1955.
In 1955-1958 he served in HMCS Aldergrove as Commanding Officer.
He served in HMCS Skeena 1956.
He was appointed as a Lieutenant-Commander RCN (With seniority dated 18/07/1958).

He served in Staff of Third Escort Squadron 1960.
