I think the company was part of Canadian National Railways.

He then went into the clothing business: Jacob Cohen & Sons, in Montreal, which his father had established."

He was appointed as a Wireless Telegraph Learner RNCVR (With seniority dated 06/11/1917).

In 1918 he served in HMCS Niobe as Additional for Duty and Instruction at the Naval Wireless Telegraph School.

He was appointed as a Wireless Telegraphy Officer (4th class) RNCVR. (On February 2, 1919 he was demobilized.)

轶事

David Cohen VE7DCI (Email to Nauticapedia 28/09/2025) stated "My father was in Halifax NS (serving in HMCS Niobe) in December 1917 at the time of the explosion. At the time, he was ashore. I remember him telling me that the blast ripped through the building he was sleeping in, leaving him unscathed but taking the bedside table and his glasses."
