Biografía
He was the twin brother of Avruskin, Stanley James (Stan). Bill Clearihue stated "Uniquely, he and his identical twin brother joined the UNTD at the same time, completed the program and continued on courtesy of Med and Law Schools. Quite the accomplishment given that their grandparents escaped Jewish oppression in Czarist Russia and ended up in Salem, ON, just north of Elora. There is an Avruskin St. in Salem." In 1985 - 2000 he was Chief of Pediatrics - Brookdale University Hospital - Brooklyn, NY USA.
Servicio militar
He was appointed as an Officer Cadet (UNTD) RCN(R) 1954.
He served in HMCS York for UNTD 1954.
He was appointed as a Sub-Lieutenant RCN(R).
He was appointed as a Lieutenant RCN(R) (With seniority dated 01/09/1959).
He served in HMCS York 1959-1963. (He was released.)
