He worked for Bowater’s Newfoundland Pulp & Paper Mills Ltd. and rose to be a Mill Manager.
He was appointed as a Lieutenant (Bay of Islands Patrol Force).
He served in Corner Brook Newfoundland in the Bay of Islands Patrol Force 1942. (He was demobilized 1942.)
