Biografie
He was the son of George H. and Virginia Bissett.
He served at sea for several years and in 1884 and 1885 he served in a Dominion Government expedition to explore the Hudsons Straits.
In 1887 he came to Victoria BC and entered the sealing business until 1897.
In 1892 he married Sofia Schnoter of Victoria BC.
In 1897 he became a partner in the steamer Selkirk and served as Master until 1905.
In 1905 he moved to Vancouver BC and became the founder of the Vancouver Dredging & Salvage Co. Ltd. as Managing Director.
He also served as the Manager of the Bermuda Steamship Co.
