He was appointed as a Lieutenant-Commander RCN (With seniority dated 28/01/1948).
He served in NHQ For Duty With Chief of Naval Personnel 1947.
He served in HMCS Ungava (II) (In command) 1955.
In 1958 he served in HMCS Scotian. (He was released.) (He was qualified for navigation duties on a course in Canada.)
