After his naval service he flew as a bush pilot. Joined Conair in 1968. Presently (1992) flying fire-bombers.

He was appointed as a Sub-Lieutenant RCN (SSA) (With seniority dated 01/05/1959).
He served in HMCS Shearwater for VF-870 Squadron 1962. (He was released 1962.)
