His seagoing experience includes work with Shell Tankers Limited.
In 1980-97 he was the President and CEO of Canadian Transport Co. Ltd., Vancouver BC.
He was VP of Transport with MacMillan Bloedel.
He managed the sale of the company in 1997.
In 2002 he was a member of the Board of Directors of the Vancouver Maritime Museum.
He was Director and Chairman of the Vancouver Port Authority.
