He was the Manager of Gibson Bros. Ltd. and W.F. Gibson & Sons Towing Co.
In 1923 he purchased the Anchorite for use by the Gibson Brothers.
He was the president of North Shore Packing Co. Ltd.
He married Olga T. Svenson.
He was the Commodore of the Royal Vancouver Yacht Club.
