He was the son of Herman Schultz and Elizabeth Davies.
He was the grandson of Judah P. Davies.
He practiced law in Nelson BC, Victoria BC and Vancouver BC.
He was appointed as County Court Judge for Vancouver December 1913 and as such was the first Jewish Judge appointed in Canada.
