He was appointed as a Commander RN (With seniority dated 30/06/1938).
He served in HMS Gurkha (In command) 1940.
He served in HMS Dasher (In command) 1942.
He was appointed as a Captain RN (With seniority dated 31/12/1943). (He was on Loan from the RN to the RCN).
He served in NHQ as Director of Avionics.
He was appointed as a Commodore (2nd Class) RN 1948. (He was on Loan from the RN to the RCN).
He served in NHQ as Assistant Chief of Naval Staff (Air) and Additional Member of the Naval Board 1949-51. (He was returned to the RN for service 01/05/1951). (He was retired 08/06/1953).
