He was appointed as an A/Sub-Lieutenant (SSA) RCN (With seniority dated 24/07/1954).
He was appointed as a Sub-Lieutenant (P) (SSA) RCN (With seniority dated 24/07/1955).
He served in HMCS Shearwater For Duty With VS-880 Squadron 1956.
He was appointed as a Lieutenant (P) (SSA) RCN (With seniority dated 24/09/1956).
He served in HMCS Shearwater as Pilot in HS-50 Squadron 1958. (Selected for permanent commission). (He was killed in a Tracker crash in Belleville Ontario 25/08/1962.)
