He attended McGill University.
He states "I was an investment dealer. I opened an office in Victoria BC for Dominion Securities in 1952. I was the Branch Manager of the Vancouver office in 1957. I worked for Dominion Securities in Montreal in 1962 i/c of trading and institutions and then in Toronto for 2 years with the same responsibilities. I became a Director while in Vancouver and member of the executive committee while in Toronto. Almost a senior shareholder. The senior partners held 5 % and I had 4 1/2%. Then I got fired. I went to Crang and Ostiguy which was taken over by Greenshields . I opened an office for them in Victoria BC in 1978 and retired there 8 years later."

In 1944 he served in HMCS Prince Henry on LSI Staff (for Normandy and Sicily Landings).
He served in Sydney NS as Port Signal Officer.
He served in Halifax NS as Port Signal Officer.
He was appointed as a Lieutenant-Commander (Temp.) RCNVR.
He served on staff of Commanding Officer Pacific Command as Signals Officer 1945.
In 1945 he served in HMCS Stadona. (He was demobilized 1945.) (He was qualified for signals duties.)
