Notas históricas

Kyle Stubbs reports (August 2026): "From July 12, 2017 to August 28, 2017, the Maple transiting from her homeport in Sitka AK to Baltimore MD to commence a mid-life overhaul at the US Coast Guard Yard. The chosen route for this voyage was via the Northwest Passage, of which the transit through Canadian waters was accompanied by Canadian Coast Guard vessels Sir Wilfred Laurier, Amundson and Terry Fox. Given that Maple's delivery voyage from Marinette WI was via the St. Lawrence Seaway and Panama Canal, the completion of a voyage through the Northwest Passage means the Maple has completed a full circumnavigation of North America during its lifetime. Upon overhaul completion, Maple was reassigned by the US Coast Guard to Atlantic Beach NC."
