Historische Notizen

This vessel is no longer registered in Canada. The MMBC stated "Fairwyn was built as an ocean racer for the incoming Commodore of the Royal Nova Scotia Yacht Squadron in 1957.

She won the Prince of Wales Cup in 1959 presented by a young Queen Elizabeth.

She was purchased by Stephen and Nancy Carlman of Vancouver and converted to a cruising configuration.

They took her through the Panama Canal and across the Atlantic twice. Her centerboard feature allows her to anchor near the beach with the catamarans while providing a grippy 9′ 9″ for upwind.

She spent the past winter in Mazatlan, La Cruz and La Paz, Mexico."
