This floating workshop (yr-44 class) was built in 1943 by Associated Shipbuilders in Seattle, WA.
In 1943-1994 she was owned by the United States Navy.
In 1994-2001 she was owned by by the Defense Reutilization and Marketing Service (DRMS).
