Notas históricas

George Schneider (Email to Nauticapedia 27/11/2023) states "One more ex-Oilfield boat I was pleased to see was AMERICAN EMERALD (549929, IMO 8842296), also belonging to American Workboats. I did get an underway shot of her, but this view shows her appearance better. She's a smaller, earlier version of the AMERICAN CHALLENGER I've covered, with the same series of owners. Service Machine completed her in 1973, and her series of names were MISTER CAP, NP SUNFISH, and GULF EMERALD. Although small (63 ft) and old, this vessel is twin screw and rated at 2400 HP. Note that on the smaller vessels Newpark abbreviated the name to NP out of mercy for the crews who had to paint the name legibly on the bow, liferings etc. "

Propietarios y capitanes
