Notes historiques
George Schneider (Email to Nauticapedia 27/11/2023) states "I was surprised to see the tug KAKU (661812) crossing the harbor, the only time I've ever seen her. She's listed as "Inactive" in PSIX, although perhaps she's now getting a second wind. This vessel was built by Marco in Seattle as NAUPAKA in 1983.
In 2007 her owner, Smith Maritime, was swallowed up by K-Sea during their big expansion, which in turn was swallowed up by Kirby in 2011. Kirby eventually realized it had exceeded saturation, and sold her to P & R Water Taxi in 2016. "
