Historische Notizen

George Schneider (Email to Nauticapedia 15/10/2023) stated "the dinner yacht RENOWN (239767) was a classic Trumpy houseboat (not a comment on her political affiliation) built in 1940 by the Mathis Yacht Yard as DREAM LADY. This vessel served in WWII as YP 541 then returned to yachting service until converted into a dinner boat. Her wooden hull was getting in bad shape, and the new owners of the Hornblower fleet no longer hold classic vessels dear. She's been for sale for a decade while still operating, and reportedly they even offered to donate her to a guardian angel who wanted her for restoration. Finally, in July, they paid the Marine Group Boat Yard to break her up."

Eigentümer & Kapitäne
