Kyle Stubbs (Email to Nauticapedia 11/08/2023) stated "a former Coast Guard 25-footer with the name ORCA (CF9558TE). This one had previously been parked on a trailer down in the Port of Los Angeles, where George had been able to establish that she's the former CG-25530. In the 6 years since I'd last seen her, she's changed little except that they moved the name from the bow to the stern."

She was owned by the United States Coast Guard.
In 2023 she was owned by USA interests.
