This freighter was built in 1909 by Bath Iron Works.
On February 5, 1947 this transport ship was stranded a few miles north of Long Beach OR when her tow line parted and this vessel drifted ashore.
In 1909 she was owned by the Eastern Steamship Co.
In 1936 she was owned by the Colonial Steamship Co.
In 1942-1947 she was owned by the United States War Shipping Administration for charter to the United States Army.
