This barge, crane & derrick was built in 1998 by Bollinger Shipyards in Lockport, LA.
Historical Notes
George Schneider (Email to Nauticapedia 29/10/2022) stated "A surprise of the day was to see a "new" crane barge at the piers of Pacific Tow Boat Co. She's been named DB PACIFIC (1321169). She's been recently bought from the Army, and still shows her Army number, BD 6802, although her Army name, SALTILLO, isn't evident. This vessel was sold at Yokohama in October 2021, so has had a long journey over here, probably towed by PTB's big tug KATHERINE. When this vessel was offered by GSA her name was mistakenly rendered as SANTILLO. "
Owners & Masters
In 1998-2021 she was owned by the United States Army.
In 2021-2024 she was owned by the Pacific Tow Boat Co.
