This tug was built in 1953 by National Steel & Shipbuilding Co (NASSCO) in San Diego, CA.
In 1953 she was owned by the United States Army.
She was later owned by the California Maritime Academy, Vallejo CA USA.
She was later owned by the Boy Scouts of America, Redwood City CA USA Sea Scouts.
