This minesweeper was built in 1953 by Lake Union Drydock & Machine Works in Seattle, WA.
In 1955 reclassified by U. S. Navy as a Coastal Minesweeper.
In 1980 this vessel was broken up.
In 1953 she was owned by the United States Navy.
She was transferred to the Italian Navy.
In 1955 she was transferred back to the United States Navy.
