This destroyer was built in 1919 by Bethlehem Shipbuilding Corp..
On September 8, 1923 this destroyer was one of a flotilla of seven US Navy vessels which were sailing in dense fog at high speed near Santa Barbara CA. All the ships ran onto rocks and were wrecked.
In 1919-1923 she was owned by the United States Navy.
