This tanker was built in 1973 by Sun Shipbuilding Co., Chester PA.

On October 28, 1986 this vessel while 1,000 miles west of Honolulu Hawaii suffered a major explosion and fire in the starboard fuel oil storage tanks and engineroom while en route to Ulsan South Korea from Barbers Point Hawaii. Four crew were killed and four survived being picked up by the Japanese fishing vessel Shoichi Maru.
In 1987 this vessel was reported to have been broken up.

In 1986 she was owned by OMI Corp. (a subsidiary by Ogden Corporation).
In 1989 she was owned by the Connecticut National Bank, Philadelphia PA USA.
