故事

This research vessel was built in 1975 by Peterson Ship Builders in Sturgeon Bay, WI.

历史记录

She was originally operated by the Woods Hole Oceanographic Institution. George Schneider stated "At the Scripps pier was the highly modified research boat OCEANUS, originally built for Woods Hole, but now operated by the Oregon State University. This vessel was built by Peterson’s in Sturgeon Bay, and to my knowledge has neither state license nor documentation. This vessel does have the IMO number 9603617. She’s owned by the National Science Foundation, not the Navy, so I don’t know of any excuse this vessel has for not being registered in any way, and may have a state license number in tiny lettering on a bridge window or somesuch. "
