名前の由来
She's the fourth Matson ship with this name, the first three being passenger ships.

1987 lengthened, widened, deepened, and converted to container ship (with ro/ro capacity) by Todd Pacific Shipyard, San Pedro CA. New dimentions 713.40' x 105.50' x 43.40', 33095 GRT, 13218 NRT, 38460 Displacement.
