Story

This fishboat, general was built in 1916 by Skansie Shipyard in Gig Harbor, WA.

Historical Notes

Kyle Stubbs reports (August 2026): "This vessel's documentation expired in 2011. I note first encountering the Mariner at Ilwaco, Washington in January 2015. By that point the vessel's hull had been glassed over, and while last registered as a recreational vessel, still maintained a utilitarian appearance similar to many Northwest pot fishing vessels. By January 2016 the vessel had been relocated to the boatyard on the Astoria, Oregon waterfront, where I believe it was eventually deemed as abandoned and demolished by the Port of Astoria."
