Story

This passenger vessel was built in 1943 by San Diego Marine Construction.

Historical Notes

George Schneider (Email to Nauticapedia 07/12/2021) stated "Point Loma (243736) came out in 1943, and was sold in 1972. This vessel was modified to be a hospital ship for use by a missionary group on the Amazon River and departed San Diego as Esparanca on a cargo ship. Considering her northern wood and a tropical climate, it's no surprise we haven't heard about her in recent years."

Owners & Masters

In 1948 she was owned by the Star and Crescent Boat Co., San Diego CA USA.
