Notas históricas
George Schneider stated "This vessel is 37 years old, and was decommissioned Sept 22, although all layup formalities including stripping her outfitting are typically done before that. Now she'll wait until she's fully decomposing from neglect and then be broken up or sunk. The earliest DDGs of the class "replacing" her are only about 5 years younger."
