Notes historiques
George Schneider (Email to Nauticapedia 07/12/2021) stated "the tug FREEDOM, one of the tugs P&R Water Taxi of Honolulu built for themselves, but they have chartered out two to Foss, and this one in turn was passed along to their shady step-sister, AmNav. Originally TIGER 8 (using a confidential Navy call sign for her completely public name) this vessel became ASTORIA for Foss in late 2013 and became FREEDOM (1221071) in late 2015.

In 2013 she was owned by Foss Maritime, Seattle WA USA.
In 2021-2023 she was owned by Young Bros, Honolulu HI USA.
