Historical Notes
Kyle Stubbs (Email to Nauticapedia 13/12/2021) stated "the FINBACK (255858), stood out to me due to her unusual hull shape. Her documentation showed her built at Brooklyn, NY in 1943, and digging into the MVUS found the original ID as 40363-F, a 40-ft Coast Guard fireboat. Per the Coast Guard small craft list this vessel would have been built by Wheeler, which checks out with the listed place of build."
Owners & Masters
In 1945-1946 she was owned by the United States Coast Guard.
In 2021-2025 she was owned by USA interests.
