This tug was built in 2016 by St. Johns River Shipbuilding Co. in Palatka, FL.
Historical Notes
George Schneider (Email to Nauticapedia 07/12/2021) stated "The East Coast Vane Bros. tug DELAWARE (1270444) came into our slip to use the shoreside crane to get her inflatable liferaft exchanged for servicing, and posed nicely in the process. Being an ATB tug, this vesseleasily left her tank barge behind to make this run. This is an incredible improvement over the ITB systems, where they had trouble getting the tug loose from the barge even when they wanted to. "
