This fishboat, general (shrimp) was built in 1976 by Marine Builders in Mobile, AL.
Historical Notes
Kyle Stubbs (Email to Nauticapedia 13/12/2021) stated "I first noticed the big steel trawler DAUNTLESS (578678) thinking it was a new sighting. Turns out I have seen her before, she's just seen a lot of changes since I'd last spotted her at Charleston, Oregon in 2017 as the B.J. THOMAS. At that time this vessel still had the appearance of the Gulf Coast shrimper she'd started life as, built by Marine Builder of Mobile in 1976. A bit of digging found an article explaining that she'd had a fire that led to her rebuild at Fred Wahl Marine."
