Historical Notes
George Schneider (Email to Nauticapedia 07/12/2021) stated "Also passing that morning was the SWRMC DIVE BOAT 1, officially 60DS1101. For years the Navy converted the diving tenders, mostly from utility boats or LCM's.
In the 1980s they used the basic 50WB design to develop the 50DW, and passed them out to the various dive activities. This is the next replacement, built exclusively by Marine Group of Chula Vista CA. I believe they're 64 feet overall, and I'm having trouble determining how many they actually built because their rare press releases are full of hype. "

In 2021-2022 she was owned by the United States Navy.
